He was born in 1948 in Anamur, Mersin. He started his business life in 1972. By 1983, he managed to put his signature under many successes in trade and was one of the leading names in trade in the region.

In 1983, he entered politics. He carried out his duty as Deputy of Mersin for 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st terms of Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
